PERC Gets Award from Forklift Group
March 25, 2011
The Propane Education & Research Council was honored earlier this week with a special industry award presented by the Industrial Truck Association and the Industrial Truck Standards Development Foundation in recognition of PERC’s support for industrial truck safety, cleaner air, and low operating costs for operators of lift trucks.
PERC President and CEO Roy Willis accepted the award on behalf of the Council. The ceremony took place Wednesday at ITA’s annual spring meeting in Washington.
“PERC has contributed substantially to the success of our efforts to serve our customers and our users, and we want to say thank you,” said Jeff Rufener, vice president of marketing at Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America and president of ITA.
PERC has helped ITA and ITSDF in the development of various clean air initiatives and safety programs, helped secure funds to reduce equipment ownership costs for end users, hosted activities at association events, and raised awareness of industrial trucks, a category that includes forklifts and hand-pallets, throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Brian Feehan, vice president of PERC, recently was named to the ITSDF Board of Trustees.
