Consumer Education Partnership with States Program
The Consumer Education Partnership with States Program (CEPP or Partnership Program) was created by the Council as an extension of PERC’s national consumer education efforts. The program is designed to maximize the impact and reach of the national PROPANE Exceptional Energy® consumer education campaign at the state, regional, and local levels.
The Partnership Program encourages propane state associations to purchase local advertising using ready-made PERC advertising materials. If states use PERC-produced and approved advertising, the Council will match 50 cents for each state dollar spent on the media buy.
This ongoing local advertising is beneficial to state associations and the propane industry. PERC’s current research indicates that state associations can positively impact the opinions of propane users and potential customers. The results show that in those media markets that have consistently used the Partnership Program funds, favorability and trust are highest.
“The Partnership Program continues to broaden our consumer education campaign by ensuring that consumers all over the country are getting a consistent message about the exceptional benefits of using propane,” said Kate Caskin, PERC senior vice president.
The Partnership Program sets up the industry for success by making an impact on consumers across the country by spreading the word about the benefits of PROPANE Exceptional Energy®.
