    Propane Mower Dealer Demo Program Overview
    It is our goal to provide you with the tools you need to make this propane mower demonstration a success and to grow your business by effectively marketing propane mowers. But we also need your help to make this program a success.
     

    The support PERC will provide to you includes:


    • Training on propane mowers, including a short online training session and a downloadable manual on operating and selling propane mowers.

    • Help building relationships with local propane suppliers who can provide technical and refueling support for propane mowers, including a contact list of propane marketers in your area.

    • Outreach support to get the word out about the program to lawn and landscape trade publications and local media in participating dealers’ areas.

    • Ongoing support including monthly check-ins and an email “help line” to answer your questions throughout the program.

    • Financial incentive to you for participating in this program and selling your “lightly used” demo mower (your manufacturer partner will provide the details of the amount and payment timing of this incentive).

    • Financial incentives for end-users who buy eligible NEW dedicated propane mowers and are accepted into our Propane Mower End-User Incentive Program. This program provides accepted end-users with an up to $1000 incentive/mower on up to ten mowers per customer; see www.autogasusa.org/mower-incentive/ for more details on this program).

     
    What we are asking from you:
     

    • Make a good faith effort to get 90 hours of demo time on your propane demo mower before selling it. This demo time can be as a zero-down time loaner mower for customers who have a mower in your shop or in response to specific customer interest to try out a propane mower.

    • Loan your demo mower out to as many customers as possible before selling it.

    • Watch the training session. (See Program Resources and Downloads).

     
    Provide monthly feedback on usage of your demo unit and customer feedback on the unit. (See Monthly Demo Unit Data Collection Process)
